Swimwear, Coverups & Sandals Time

It’s that time of year ladies. Most of us really don’t want to put on a swimsuit, but sometimes it’s a necessity. Especially at a fabulous resort pool or sandy beach. So you want to look attractive and have all your parts secured! (So hard in these days of mesh, crochet and cut-outs.) Take a wrong turn and you have a play dough factory situation.

Here we are in search of the attractive and the suitable. I’ve found some really great things for your next trip, the neighborhood club or your backyard pool if you are so lucky! And I’ll show you my most successful suits. While we’re at it - I found some great simple sandals and pretty coverups.

Take a deep breath and enjoy!

I have always had success with La Blanca. I have two of their suits now and love them.

This simple suit from J Crew covers all bases. It comes in lots of colors and prints and was on sale at this writing! It also comes in long torso. I have it in black.

Love these Boden sandals. I have them on order to replace some older sandals.

One of my favorite suits. It holds it all in and all together. It covers your décolleté and is slimming. It really works for me.

Love this pretty Ann Taylor sandal.

How gorgeous is this? And it’s not crazy expensive. This is a gorgeous resort outfit with a simple white top and sandals. Love.

This Miraclesuit is so good looking. I would try it if I needed another.

Such a great fun brand - Sunshine Tienda! Great fun things for resortwear and summer.

I have not tried this one on, but it looks promising. Ruched in the front with a high halter back. And such a nice color, especially if you have olive skin.

For a special trip or occasion - so so pretty.

These sarongs are fun and less expensive than some of the Farm Rio ones.

I love this Mark & Graham straw hat. It’s got a big brim for protection and so cute with the initials.

I found several really pretty sarongs. I love the idea of wearing these as a skirt with just a white tee and sandals, for lunch nearby or even dinner after your day in the sun.

I have had Seafolly coverups before and loved them.

A great basic from Madewell - I have this on order in this color also. I am replacing a few old pair. And on sale as of this writing!

The Classic One Shoulder Ruched Suit from J Crew. Comes in long torso. Looks good on everybody, doesn’t it?

This is similar to that Johnny Was style, but less $$. I can vouch for the quality of both. Comes in several colors.

If you don’t like the clunky look of Birks, these are very light and feminine. Classy jelly sandals. So great for vacay - pool to dinner. Comes in lots of colors.

This easy dress from Anthro would also be a great coverup. It looks too low cut for me to wear without a cami - which I really hate to do in the summer.

Sometimes it’s hard to find a sandal in this nice darker brown. And this one will never go out of style.

Love this sweet suit from Boden. I have bought their suits before with success. This one has a pretty sweetheart neckline, wide straps and a high back. Me likey.

This is killer. A button down front that doubles as part of your evening look the night before the pool!

A great basic, also in that dark brown. I am trying them in black. And the price is good.

This is a pretty one piece suit with an overlay. It comes in 5 or 6 patterns and colors. A good one if you have good shoulders and bust but want to hide your tummy.

Love these simple sandals from J Crew. They go with so much and never ever go out of style.

A very pretty feminine coverup.

This ruched one-piece by Johnny Was is such a nice fit. Unless you’re really busty - then no. Because it definitely give your boobs pride of place girl. They look great in this suit. The ruching helps the tummy area and the back is simple. I think you can get it in several prints every year. They keep bringing it back, so I’m not the only one that likes it!

I have this suit and love it. Disclaimer - I don’t look like this in the suit. I know you’re shocked and saddened. Also - La Blanca is having a Memorial Day sale and everything is up to 50% off.

I love these for pool and beach, garden center and errands. They can be washed if they get gross and they can get soaking wet. And sooooo comfy.

This pretty lightweight kimono comes in lots of colors and patterns. And the Memorial Sale is now on.

I have these on order. I love this new version of the Sam Edelman bay slide. I will report back.

Another gorgeous Farm Rio sarong - this one is great for a dressier resort and it’s on sale! Gosh - put some heels with it and a pretty white blouse with collar popped - LOOK OUT SHARON STONE!

I’m sure you’ve seen this one - a new classic. But they are very comfy and look good with practically everything. Even a swimsuit and cover up! I have them and love them.

Another classic from J Crew that comes in tons of colors and patterns, and also long torso.

This cute summer dress easily doubles as a coverup.

Hope you enjoyed this swimwear grouping and you found something or it helps you to brainstorm what will work for you this summer!
