Dancing Into 2023...

Well, we made it! It’s a brand new year and I, for one, am raring to go. I am really feeling energized and glad to have gotten through the emotional mine field that is the holidays. And this last one, was a doozy! 😵‍💫

So what now?

Last week I filled out my planner and there is A LOT on tap for 2023. Travel, art projects, interior projects, home renovation and maintenance, and some fun along the way. I did make much progress with my goals last year, but it was at a slow pace. Too slow for my liking. I have a lot of goals, but I never seem to get very far with them, irregardless of the fact that I am constantly working on something. Does that sound familiar to you? I bet it is a common feeling.

To say that I am driven, is an understatement. So I am starting out this year, hoping that Covid is behind us, and ready to kick it! Do you feel like that? Are you ready to roll into a new and better year? Let’s find a way to get this stuff done! I am smart. I work hard. And I don’t do anything half @$$ - I always use my full @$$…

I am particularly excited about this blog. I started it almost one year ago, before I was ready. Everyone said to “start before you feel ready” or you will never do it. So I did. And I feel like I’ve been playing catch up since. But still proud of myself for accomplishing that huge goal.

My Christmas present for my charm bracelet…

I started it about a year ago, before I really knew what I was doing, and I still struggle with all the technical tools that most bloggers use daily. I have yet to teach myself much of it. But content is king and that’s the focus here! I will learn it all in due time.

I don’t do resolutions, but here are my goals for 2023…

  • Be available to help others more. I find myself scheduled into oblivion, and it is hard to do. I will try to put down the lists to help my friends and family.

  • Finally work on the boxes and boxes of photographs from 1992 to 2006, when my photos became more digital and stored on my laptop. I bought 10 matching albums, years ago, and it’s time to fill them.

  • Finish more artistic projects that have been sitting in piles around the house. I want to paint my mantel in the den, paint a large watercolor for my powder room and a large abstract for my library.

  • Make an office space in the house. My projects are spilling out all over and it would be great to get them consolidated and out of the way.

  • Paint my upstairs! Yes you read that right…

  • Make more time for some formal exercise. Namely, weights for body strength, walking to raise my heart rate and yoga to remain flexible. Even though some days I spend hours gardening and/or engaged in backbreaking yard work, and I probably do 20 sets of stairs daily, that doesn’t always address these important areas.

  • Continue with my eating plan - very little gluten and dairy, and intermittent fasting. Curb the sugar addiction.

  • I like to write. Specifically on this blog, but other places as well. I will make time for it. It is mind-clearing for me.

  • Begin to translate this blog into a small income. I’m not sure how, but I will continue to brainstorm. Possibilities are a Posh Box Subscription or maybe a small Posh shop on the site. We had incredible success with artwork and jewelry at the store, so those might be good starting points.

  • I will remind myself of all the good thoughts in my last years’ New Year post. Remember, life is short and we aren’t guaranteed health and happiness, and if the music is good, you might as well dance…😜

Happy 2023 Ladies! 🥂
